Born in 1955 in Oak Park, Michigan, I was raised in a metaphysical household where meditation and religion were part of everyday life. This early exposure shaped my perspective and remained an influence throughout my personal and professional journey.

My interest in commodities began at a young age and eventually led to a 25-year career as a commodities and stock broker. Alongside my work in the financial markets, I pursued triathlon training with dedication, regularly cycling more than 250 miles each week. The bicycle played a meaningful role in both the beginning and end of my story.

I have been married for 34 years, with one son and two dogs completing our family.
